Projects funded by the government are carried out by our faculty & P.G students. Research is carried out in five centres of excellence namely Centre for Energy, Centre for Signal & Image Processing, Centre for Computation, Centre for Structural Engineering and Centre for Wireless Communication. The research centers for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Physics got approval from Anna University.

Student Research Projects

ReOpat :

ReOpat is a public health monitoring System developed exclusively for India. This is used to gather health information of patients right from the medicines prescribed. This provides separate portals for Patients, Doctors, Pharmacy, Laboratory and Government. Using these information, the Government can analyze the health details of the particular zone without having to conduct Health Camps. The patient can view their health information using their AADHAR ID. This is currently being implemented in Andhra Pradesh Government.

ReOpat simply streamlines the information gathering processes in the organization. Right from calling patient data to performing case management and recording patient’s medical history, this module captures every bit of medical and surgical information about any patient at the entry level. For better accessibility and efficient information processing, this project integrates with every imperative unit. It also captures information such as patient’sprescription, tests to be performed, information about test reactions, past test records and current test reports.

 

DIC (DMI Informatics Centre)

DIC (DMI Informatics Centre) is an initiative started by the DMI CSE Students and the Department to automate the Institute information. This is started as a Centre of Excellence to maintain College Website and other Enterprise Resource Planning Activities. This has portals for Student, Parent, Staff, HoDs, Admin Team, HR Manager, Transport Manager and DIC Maintenance Team.

The Separate modules were incorporated-Student, Staff, Research, Transport, HR, Placement, Finance, HoD, Admin Team and DIC Super Admin.

 

SelfLearn

This is an Android App exclusively designed for E-Learning approach in DMI College. This aims to provide E-Learning resources though a Mobile App. There will be two portals-staff and students. The students can view and download the resources while the staff can upload their study materials to the students

Smart Mirror Ambient Control (SMAC)

Smart Mirror Ambient Control (SMAC) is a Smart Device that integrates the essential information required to the person who stands before it. This device is built by encompassing the concepts and Algorithms in Ambient Intelligence, Machine Learning and Internet of Things to make a wonderful experience before a Normal Mirror. The Algorithms, various APIs and Hardware Components are employed for Speech Detection, Keyword Detection and Display Details. The main objective of this paper is to develop a Smart Device that would enable the user to show the basic features such as latest news, calendar, Timer, Music paly, Map Display, Weather Forecast and also Motion Detection through Voice Commands. The Voice Commands are trained to show the best results.
