MATERIALS RESEARCH CENTRE
To improve the quality of research activities of the faculty of the Department of Physics, the department has taken an initiative for gaining Anna University, Chennai’s recognition to establish a Materials Research Center at DMI College of Engineering. Prof and Head of the Department, Dr. L. Mariappan of the Department of Physics obtained the sanction of this centre. Research focuses on various topics such as Crystal Growth of Nano-materials, Molecular Spectroscopy, and Non-linear Optics.
