The college conducts Annual Sports Day, which has track and field events, individual Games and matches and encourages the students, staff and inmates/workers of the college to take part actively. To promote healthy competition among the students in the activities and foster qualities like leadership, loyalty, co – operation, the students are divided into six houses. This paves a way to a healthy competition of brotherhood and sportsmanship. Various prizes / medals / shields /certificates are awarded to winners and runners up.
The college gives importance to health activities and concentrates on indoor and outdoor games. Courts and grounds for various games and sports are available. Students are expected to take part in these games / sports to develop his / her potential / abilities and qualities of sportsmanship.

- DMI College of engineering Kabaddi (Women) Team has been secured runner up in Anna university inter zonal Kabaddi Tournament held at Prathyusha Institute of Technology and Management.
- Loyola Infant Jaganath (3rd Mech) has got bronze medal in Anna university inter zonal Boxing tournament held at Anna university.
- DMI College of engineering selected as Anna university zone 2 zonal sports coordinating center for the years of 2010-2011 and 2011-2012
